Renee does marketing for compounding pharmacists who love what they do but don’t love the marketing.
She worked for compounding pharmacists for several years and then for the Professional Compounding Centers of America teaching pharmacists how to market their business. In 2009, she started her own company marketing for compounding pharmacies and other small business owners. Renee believes that marketing doesn’t have to be expensive, you can be yourself and be authentic and still make money
Renee grew up in Washington, DC hoping to become a pharmacist. After applying to the University of Pittsburgh and finding out her boyfriend didn’t want her to come there because he had found someone else, she decided to attend the University of District of Columbia and majored in chemistry. Chemistry turned out to a great option for her. She worked for three years as a high school chemistry teacher in Texas then as a nuclear chemist. Simultaneously, she joined Toastmasters and volunteered to be the Vice President of Public Relations and learned to communicate better. One evening, her Toastmasters club had a contest although she didn’t win the contest, she was offered a job as a marketer for a compounding pharmacist and her new life began.
Renee has won numerous speech contests, spoken before as many as 150 compounding pharmacists in the Us, Canada and Australia about marketing and runs an online radio show. She is a recurring guest for the Majestic Mo’Mints radio show, a columnist for the International Journal of Compounding Pharmacists and a contributing writer for Pharmacy Marketing Quarterly.
Renee enjoys kayaking, bicycling, swimmimg and reading. She is a triathlete who believes everything tastes better with feta cheese, black olives, capers and artichokes. She loves African, Latin Jazz and Armenian music. She loves all things by Apple and owns more MAC makeup than the law should allow.
Renee’s available to come speak for your organization about marketing for compounding pharmacies and small businesses.
